What We Do

Heart for Lebanon is a faith-based holistic ministry bringing dignity to the marginalized and rejected communities in Lebanon, including Syrian and Iraqi refugees living in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and Southern Lebanon, as well as the Bedouin, Gypsy, Turkmen and the poorer Lebanese communities residing throughout the country.

Heart for Lebanon currently serves a total of 3,000 refugee and at-risk families throughout Lebanon on a monthly basis through the Relief & Community Care Initiative and Children at Risk Initiative.

Those we serve from a variety of different ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, but have found themselves in Lebanon as refugees of war and conflict. Others are natives of the country who are suffering from discrimination, marginalization, and extreme poverty.

Heart for Lebanon believes transformation is a process, not an event. Therefore, we start with Transactional Relief, providing food and hygiene portions, basic goods and non-formal education. Next is Relational Relief, where we reach out with one-on-one family and personal home visits, which encourage and inspire people and create a sense of community. Finally, we hope to lead people into a deeper knowledge of Christ through Transformational Relief by joining one of our Bible Studies and discipleship programs, where we can share our beliefs.
