In February 2008, Heart for Lebanon launched phase 2 of the Iraqi Refugees Project. This phase aims at supporting 150 families for a six-month period. Each family will receive a monthly food and hygiene package worth $50.00 each.
This ministry will be implemented in partnership with the Middle East Council of Churches’ clinic, located in Sed el Baouchrieh- a neighborhood in Beirut where many of the Iraqi Christians are residing.
The goal of this project is not only to provide support through handing out food and other basic necessities but also to build a relationship with the families that are being helped.
The duration of the project extends from February 1, 2008 to July 31, 2008.
