In a transitional phase!

One of the recently moved families to Lebanon is a family of 2 sisters (without their husbands), each sister with her 3 children. Ever since the war broke out they had tried very hard not to leave their hometown Mosul in Iraq.

They had stretched their hopes as far as they could regarding both the situation of the country and the safety of their lives till they could withstand it no longer. Today it has been a little over a month that they have settled in Lebanon for an unspecified time.

As H4L staff was conversing with them in their empty apartment during one of H4L’s house visits, they walked out to the balcony and there they saw several blankets hanging out to dry. The staff wondered if those blankets could possibly serve the families’ needs and keep them warm as they were incredibly worn out. Fortunately, the staff’s visit was in time, for the primary purpose of that day’s visit was to give out blankets. The 2 sisters’ eyes sparkled in joy as they expressed their gratitude for the much needed blankets during this year’s cold winter season in their not so easy transitional phase.
