The Iraqi Winterization Project (IWP) is still underway as the winter season is at its peak in Lebanon. IWP’s Phases II and III were implemented during January and February. Phase II involved the distribution of 400 heaters that were delivered to the homes of Iraqi refugee families while grabbing the opportunity to spend more individual time with each family.
Phase III naturally took on a different form. Phase III involved distributing winter clothes from sweaters, scarves, socks, robes to pajamas. In order to better serve the needs of each family, the 190 families were divided into four groups and each group was assigned a day where different styles, sizes, and colors of the various items mentioned above were offered. Winter clothing was displayed in H4L’s partner clinic “Our Lady Dispensary” in Sid El-Bouchrieh, where the families come regularly to pick up their monthly basic food and hygiene packages and some medical support supplied by H4L.
