DESCRIPTION

Baraasheet village is located beyond Saffad (location of project 3) about 35 minutes from Tyre . Baraasheet had its share of destruction due to the July war.

On one of the Heart for Lebanon trips to the South, we visited the village priest (Father Fadi). He shared some of the main concerns of his parish, he said that the drinking water was not clean enough, the villagers didn't have safe and appropriate tanks to store the fuel oil used for heaters. Other families needed carpets (the carpets were burned during the war) to cover the floor of their houses. Some houses have tiled floors and some have just concrete floor so image how cold their living room or sleeping room would be in the freezing winter!

Therefore, Heart for Lebanon went to the village on the 20 th of January 2007 and provided water filters for 17 families who now drink pure clean water! On the 3 rd of February 2007 we went down with 17 carpets to make sure every house had a warm ground in one room at least to sit on or even sleep on! We provided 16 empty fuel oil tanks with their necessary parts for installment, in order for the families to store the fuel oil in and make use of it whenever needed.

Our heart is with those families that don't have the basic needs that are necessary for living and our prayer for them is that they believe and trust that the Lord can provide for their needs.
